A2IM — The American Association of Independent Music has named Chase Varga as new Marketing Manager.
A2IM is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit trade organization headquartered in New York City to support and advocate for independent recorded music.
Chase Varga is a premier entertainment and media marketing entrepreneur who has been in the music industry her entire life. Born into the business with a hugely diverse professional experience to boot with venues, labels, independent promoters, creators, artists and many others. Chase co-founded Engine Driver Presents in 2013 and produced in excess of 500 events throughout Seattle, Sac-town and San Francisco. Varga has collaborated with SXSW co-founder Louis Black, Strange Famous Records, Rench Audio Records, Gangstagrass, Sage Francis and other top shelf talent.
Dr. Richard James Burgess will continue as President and CEO of A2IM harnessing and leveraging his industry knowledge to push boundaries and improve the industry.
“Since having the good fortune to be appointed CEO of A2IM three years ago, I have been blessed with enthusiastic and talented team members along with a highly participatory and knowledgeable board. Thanks to our team’s hard work and the dedication and vision of our board, we have more than doubled revenues, increased membership by nearly seventy percent, and attendance at our various events is up by several hundred percent,” says Burgess.
The American Association of Independent Music also appointed Andrea Pagnanelli as the organization’s General Manager. Named one of Forbes’ 30 under 30 and New York Business Journal’s Woman of Influence, Pagnanelli brings drive and pizzazz to match A2IM’s growing diverse vision. Andrea served as EVP of Venue and Event Strategy for LAFC – Los Angeles Football Club and oversaw all events outside of LAFC home games. Held roles with the Phoenix Suns, New York Jets, Relevent Sports, founded LeapSeats and is the youngest sales manager in the history of the league.
A2IM is more than 600 independently owned small and medium sized American music labels.
